GO Crew Positions for Summer 2019

1. Lead GOer

This role you will be main Lead at our GO Beaver Camps, located at Beaver Valley Ski Club and also Lead for our Youth Camps at our Dundalk location.

Roles of Lead GOer (but not limited to….)

  • Oversee the setup, up-keep, and staffing of program area.

  • Prepare, lead, and evaluate programs which may include theme/special camp activities.

  • Maintain and inventory all equipment necessary for the program area.
    Ensure that the site is kept clean and organized.

  • Organize and lead a variety of small and large group activities.

  • Communicate with parents about participant’s experiences and report concerns to Camp Leadership.

  • Assist in maintaining accurate program records including incident reports, logbook documentation, and daily attendance.

  • Know and understand ALL emergency procedures associated with the camp program.

  • Provide work direction to staff as needed.

  • Help guide Junior Counselors and Camp Volunteers to have a deeper understanding of leadership and counseling skills.

Qualifications

  • Years of experience leading kids or youth

  • F class driver license

  • First aid and CPR

  • Lifeguard certified (NLS)

  • Police record check - vulnerable sector  

  • Believer of awesomeness

  • High five enthusiast

  • Lover of the outdoors

Pay: $17-20/hour

2. CO-GOer

We are hiring CO-GOers for Dundalk and Beaver valley locations. In this role you will be leading with at least one other GO Crew member and up to five other Crew members.

Roles of a CO-GOer (but not limited to….)

  • Organize and lead a variety of small and large group activities each week.

  • Identify and respond to camper behavior issues.

  • Ensure that the site is kept clean, organized, and safe.

  • Communicate with parents about participant’s experiences and report concerns to Camp Leadership.

  • Help guide Junior Counselors and Camp Volunteers to have a deeper understanding of leadership and counseling skills.

  • Lead our GOers in a positive, supportive way all day, everyday.

  • Encourage campers to try their best.

Qualifications

  • First aid and CPR

  • Lifeguard certified would be an asset  (NLS, Bronze cross or bronze Medallion)

  • Police record check - vulnerable sector  

  • Believer of awesomeness

  • High five enthusiast

  • Lover of the outdoors

Pay: $13.50 - $17/hour
